Another laser pointing at the stars

You know the laser at Andøya, probably. I’ve written about it a couple of times. This one is located in Chile.

Both do the same thing: They investigate the atmosphere above them.

Both do different things: One focuses on the atmosphere, the other one tries to make it invisible.

The term to look for is “adaptive optics”. If you don’t have the time to look it up, you can comment below, too. I’ll get around to answering, I promise. 🙂
