German winter

In Germany, where I grew up, there is a certain kind of novel which almost exclusively plays in landscapes like this. Those stories have a tendency to be a little melancholic, but there is always that almost tangible magnificence of nature’s play of light between the lines.

Fogs, clouds, lights – it all helps to indicate mood swings and build a proper framework for the storyteller onto which to built her story.

Science and nature underpinning the fantasy of humans. Beautiful. 🙂
