Beautiful twilight

This year’s autumn is rather weird. Normally, I would simply sit through that first time of depression as the polar summer and its midnight sun disappear. I would wait for the first Northern lights. I would soak in the cold wind and let me be refreshed by it. I would forget the autumn rain and grey misery.

The above image represents how close as I have gotten to that feeling this fall. It is nearly December, and I still feel like autumn has barely begun.

Curse you missing snow and solar minimum!

Well, alright. I tried being angry. Do you think I stood there, unhappy with my lot in life, when I took this photo? 😉
